Repair Shop Integration for Insurance CompaniesBCI Seguros is a Chilean insurance company founded in 1992 and part of Banco BCI, the third-largest private bank in Chile by loan portfolio and the fourth-largest by number of customers. BCI Seguros offers products for the mass market and SMEs across General Insurance, Auto, Life, Health, and Travel insurance lines. The company generates operational revenues of approximately USD 1.2 billion.
BCI Seguros set out to achieve a substantial improvement in its relationship with its claims provider network—specifically, repair shops. The goal was to implement a long-term, sustainable solution capable of supporting the company’s strategic objectives. This vision led to the creation of the Supplier Web Platform.
Leveraging its strong experience in the insurance sector and a solid track record in technology project management, Tecnova partnered with BCI Seguros to take on this new challenge. The primary objective was to enable seamless integration between the insurance company and its nationwide network of more than 350 repair shops, all dedicated to repairing vehicles covered by insurance claims.
The Supplier Web Platform allows repair shops to actively participate throughout the entire claims process. The system centralizes information end to end—from the moment a vehicle is assigned to a specific repair shop until it is ultimately delivered back to the insured customer.

The system was implemented using the Scrum methodology, creating a collaborative working framework that actively involved key business users throughout the project lifecycle.
From a technology standpoint, the solution was built using Microsoft .NET for the backend and Angular 8 for the frontend. Oracle Database was used for data persistence.
