The Corporate Forms Management System was created in response to Principal Financial Group’s ongoing commitment to continuously improve its customer-facing applications and enhance the overall client experience. To achieve this, the company decided to standardize the generation of information capture forms across multiple systems.
Prior to this initiative, each system that managed forms relied on its own logic, layout, and graphic design. As a result, several challenges emerged during the ongoing maintenance and evolution of existing forms, including:

• Difficulty in modifying forms, as each one was developed independently.
• Increased effort required to apply large-scale changes, such as adapting forms to a new corporate branding.
• Duplication of effort, since launching a new form required a completely new development.

To address these challenges, Tecnova implemented a single, centralized solution that enables the generation of highly flexible forms capable of adapting to the needs of multiple development platforms. The solution was designed with the following core components:

• Design and implementation of a centralized forms repository.
• A web-based administration portal for managing form templates.
• Centralized data retrieval.
• Services for creating, updating, and displaying forms.
• A service to retrieve generated form documents in PDF format encoded in Base64.
