Among the programs offered by Subsecretaría de Prevención del Delito to people is the victims orientation support program. This aims to promote that people who have been victims of crimes, through the exercise of their rights, overcome the negative consequences of being a victim and do not suffer secondary victimization. Related to this program, Tecnova participated in the development and subsequent improvements of two IT platforms that support this management: the Orientation and Information System (SOI System) and the Second Response Service (SSR System).

About The Undersecretary of Crime Prevention
The Undersecretary of Crime Prevention is the Chilean government agency created in 2011, under the Interior Ministry. It is responsible for preparing, coordinating, executing and evaluating public policies aimed at preventing crime, as well as providing support for rehabilitation and social reintegration to lawbreakers.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Orientation and Information System
The SOI system provides guidance and specialized information, helping victims to face the most immediate aspects of the occurrence of a crime. At a functional level, the system converges on crime reports that arrive through telephone calls, online forms, or through information provided by other public sector institutions, such as the Police (PDI). This system is the technological support that allows managing and offering both social and judicial support to the victims.
Second Response Service
On the other hand, help actions are managed and executed through the Second Response Service (SSR). Through this second system, people who have been victims of crime can access to a comprehensive and specialized care. This can be through free psychological, social and legal asistant help through actions aimed at overcoming the negative consequences of the crime.

USED TECHNOLOGY
Technical Detail of the Project
The SOI system was implemented by Tecnova with the Incremental Cascade development methodology, with processes based on CMMi Dev. On the other hand, its subsequent improvements were addressed with the Agile SCRUM methodology.
On the technological side, the SOI system was built with Microsoft .NET / C # and Microsoft SQL Server Database. For integration with other systems, WEB services were consumed, for example for integration with SSR system.
